In 2007 Alexander Bernatsky, co-founder of Kaliningrad legendary folk-band Kuri Bambuk (Russian “Smoke the Bamboo”, i.e. relax and do nothing) eventually organizes with his wife Irina rock bar called Kuri Bambuk. Rock Bar is fast gaining popularity in the city, with its unique appearance and atmosphere.
In 2009, the rock bar “Kuri Bambuk” closes and opens club “Kuri Bambuk” by Mussorgsky str., 10.
Before recent time Bambuk club was the most popular alternative place in Kaliningrad where stars and newborn bands performed their concerts and international music festivals (e.g. RE:volution and Emergenza) were held.
Since August, 1 2018 the club is closed.
